ArrangementFinders, a dating website for sugar babies looking for sugar daddies, has recently come under fire for suggesting that undocumented immigrants try to secure a benefactor prior to getting deported.
“Undocumented immigrant?” asks the billboard, which is situated along a highway in South Austin. ”Before you get deported, get a sugar daddy,” the billboard, which features a Latina woman in front of a Mexican flag, adds. The billboard ad is implying that undocumented people can become vulnerable, especially because of Donald Trump threatening that he will tighten the reins on immigration policies. Trump has said he would consider the deportation of undocumented immigrants a priority
ArrangementFinders’ parent company, Ruby Inc., which owns the controversial dating service Ashley Madison, has distanced itself from the ad, saying in a statement: “The billboard is created independently by an affiliate…is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the views or visions of the company, so we have requested that they take it down immediately.”
